Huckleberries are, like Sri Lankan Ceylon teas in this blend, a native of high elevations. A close relative of the blueberry, and also thriving in acid soils, the huckleberry has a sweet, robust, yet tart flavor described as being a cross between a raspberry and a sweet blueberry. Usually not commercially cultivated, huckleberries are most often picked wild and used in jellies, jams, pies, ice cream, and other sweet confections. The huckleberry is very versatile and adapts well to the many uses of its flavor. Processed and blended in Canada.
